The short version: argue about fights, not about each other.
1. What we expect
Debate the argument. MMA is a sport people feel strongly about. Strong disagreement is welcome. Contempt for the person you are disagreeing with is not.
Post in good faith. Say what you actually think. Do not stir a thread for the reaction.
Stay on topic in the board you are posting in, and use a title that says what the thread is about.
Search first. A thread that already exists is a better place for your point than a new one.
2. What is not allowed
Harassment. Targeting somebody with repeated unwanted attention, pile-ons, or dredging up their history to humiliate them.
Hate. Attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age. This includes "just a joke" versions of the same thing.
Threats and violence. Threatening anyone, wishing serious harm on a fighter, or celebrating a genuine injury.
Doxxing. Posting private information about anybody — address, phone number, workplace, an unpublished identity — including your own.
Sexual content. Explicit material, and anything sexualising a minor, which is reported to the authorities without exception.
Spam and self-promotion. Referral links, affiliate links, unsolicited advertising, and repeatedly posting your own site or channel.
Illegal streams. Links to unauthorised streams of events, or requests for them.
Betting solicitation. Tipping services, "DM me for locks", and touting. Discussing odds and your own predictions is fine.
Piracy and cracked software.
Impersonation. Presenting yourself as a fighter, a journalist, a member of staff, or another user.
Manipulation. Vote brigading, reputation trading, sockpuppets, and gaming predictions or leaderboards.
Evading moderation. Returning under a new account while suspended, or reposting content that was removed.
3. Spoilers
Results are not spoilers once an event has finished. During an event and for 24 hours after it, keep results out of thread titles so people watching on delay are not spoiled by the index page.
4. Reporting
Use the report control on the post rather than replying to argue with it. Tell us what rule you think it breaks — reports with a reason are actioned faster.
Reporting in bad faith, or mass-reporting somebody you are arguing with, is itself a breach.
5. How we moderate
Most breaches are handled proportionately: an edit, a locked thread, or a warning. Repetition escalates to a temporary suspension and then a permanent ban. Serious breaches — illegal content, threats, doxxing, sexual content involving minors — skip straight to a permanent ban.
Moderators are people. They act on what they can see, and they get things wrong sometimes.
6. Appeals
If you think a decision was wrong, write to [email protected] with your username and what was removed. Appeals are read by somebody other than the moderator who made the decision, where possible.
Do not appeal by starting a thread about it. Threads arguing a moderation decision are closed.
7. Bans
A permanent ban ends your access to the account. Your posts are ordinarily left in place so the discussions around them still read, unless the content itself breached these rules.
Creating a new account to get around a ban extends it.
